Sustainability Engineer

About the role

KBR is looking for a Sustainability Engineer to support its Environmental and Sustainability Manager on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, residential and community projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will drive the implementation and monitoring of Estidama certification requirements, ensuring that all developments meet contractual and regulatory sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Sustainability Manager in daily operations of the environmental management system.
• Monitor and manage Estidama processes (PBRS, PCRS, PRRS, PVRS) across all projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors and authorities to ensure compliance.
• Identify and communicate risks related to the Estidama Pearl Rating Process.
• Review, verify and compile sustainability reports and submissions for client approval.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in sustainability or environmental engineering.
• Proven expertise in Estidama certification processes and related standards.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work on‑site in Abu Dhabi and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
