About the role

The Swedish Food Market & Bistro Assistant supports the Food & Beverages Manager in delivering IKEA’s food service concept at the Swedish Food Market and Bistro in IKEA Dubai Festival City. The role focuses on supervising daily kitchen operations, maintaining high service standards, and contributing to guest satisfaction and sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff and ensure food safety, quality and presentation standards.
• Manage stock levels, product displays and attractive communication of the food range.
• Interact with guests, gather feedback and act to improve the shopping experience.
• Handle cash transactions and support commercial activities aligned with the store business plan.
• Monitor financial performance, control waste and support cost‑effective operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all food service areas.
• Train and coach team members, encouraging proactive guest service.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of experience in food service or supervisory roles.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment and multitask effectively.
