System Security Engineer – Video Surveillance & Access Control

About the role

We are looking for a System Security Engineer to design, deploy and maintain enterprise‑grade security platforms in Abu Dhabi. The role covers video surveillance, access control, public address and intercom systems across Windows and Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain integrated security solutions ensuring high availability and performance.
• Install, commission and support video surveillance, access control, public address and intercom systems.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues and apply firmware and security updates.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures and training material.
• Collaborate with IT security and networking teams to guarantee data protection.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software versions and licenses.
• Assist project and operations teams in planning upgrades, migrations and procurement.
• Manage maintenance contracts, track product life‑cycles and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of IT support experience with at least 3 years as a security system engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent technical school qualification.
• Hands‑on experience deploying, installing and maintaining enterprise video surveillance platforms (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Axxonsoft, Axis).
• Experience with access control solutions (e.g., Dormakaba, Salto, Lenel, Idemia/Morpho, Suprema, HID).
• Experience with public address and intercom systems (e.g., Bosch, Commend, Zenitel, Aiphone).
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems, server hardware and IP‑based security networks (TCP/IP, networking concepts).
• Ability to read technical manuals and produce clear documentation.
• Relevant professional certification is a plus.
