Tax & Legal Manager – West Africa (Dubai)

About the role

The company, a leading international marine and offshore energy business, is seeking a Tax & Legal Manager to join its Dubai team. This regional position will support operations across West Africa, handling tax compliance, legal matters, and regulatory risk.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee tax and legal compliance for West African operations.
• Monitor changes to tax legislation, finance laws and sector‑specific regulations.
• Prepare and review annual tax returns, withholding tax, VAT, personal income tax and double‑taxation treaty applications.
• Develop local transfer‑pricing documentation in line with group policies.
• Support tax and customs audits, coordinating with external advisers.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax, legal and regulatory risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external advisers and local authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide advice on broader business law matters as required.
• Travel regularly throughout West Africa.

Required profile

• Degree in Tax Law, Business Law or a related discipline.
• 5–7+ years of professional experience in international taxation and business law.
• Experience in a Big 4 firm or an international energy, maritime or offshore organization.
• Fluent French is essential.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, external advisers and local authorities.
• Willingness to travel across West Africa.
