Team Lead – Content Moderation (Remote, UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Team Lead to manage a distributed group of content moderators in the United Arab Emirates. The role combines people leadership, operational oversight, and analytical thinking to ensure consistent enforcement of platform policies across sensitive content areas.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily moderation operations, meeting productivity, quality, and compliance targets.
• Provide hands‑on guidance for complex or high‑risk cases, ensuring accurate policy application.
• Monitor performance metrics and trends to identify operational improvements.
• Coordinate scheduling and workflow distribution for balanced workloads.
• Support onboarding and continuous training initiatives.
• Conduct moderation audits to maintain enforcement accuracy.
• Act as escalation point for challenging cases and internal concerns.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functional teams to strengthen trust‑and‑safety strategies.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of leadership experience in content moderation, trust & safety, compliance or related fields.
• Strong understanding of sensitive online content such as hate speech, extremist material, self‑harm, fraud, exploitation and misinformation.
• Proven ability to interpret and enforce platform policies with consistency and sound judgment.
• Experience analyzing moderation data and performance metrics to drive improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Comfortable working fully remote with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• High integrity, resilience and emotional maturity when handling high‑risk content.
