Technical Account Manager – Hybrid Cloud

About the role

As a Technical Account Manager for Hybrid Cloud at Alibaba Cloud in Dubai, you will act as the primary technical liaison for strategic customers, guiding them through cloud adoption, operations, and optimization. You will combine deep technical expertise with customer‑centric communication to ensure platform reliability, performance, and security throughout the digital transformation journey.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the core technical interface on the customer side, understanding business scenarios and building trust.
• Lead end‑to‑end operational support across the cloud platform lifecycle, from architecture design and launch to daily operations and optimization.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to stability, cost, and security, driving automation, observability, and SRE practices.
• Partner with sales and solution architects on pre‑sales activities, including proof‑of‑concept execution and technical solution design.
• Conduct regular technical health checks, architecture maturity assessments, and cost‑optimization analyses.
• Communicate customer feedback to product and R&D teams to influence roadmap and service improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in technical support, architecture design, or operations of large‑scale enterprise IT or cloud environments.
• Proven experience serving complex industries such as finance, government, retail or manufacturing.
• Ability to work closely with customers’ IT, architecture, operations and security teams.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident‑response capabilities in public or hybrid cloud settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Kubernetes (including Alibaba Cloud Container Service for Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Cloud‑Native and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Familiarity with automation, observability tools and cost‑optimization techniques.
• Understanding of core cloud services (compute, storage, networking, databases, security, AI/ML).
