Technical Application Engineer – Lighting Solutions (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Technical Application Engineer to join our international sales team in Dubai. In this junior position you will support the sales process by preparing quotations, layout drawings and technical documentation for lighting projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the sales team with project inquiries and specification development.
• Create complete project submissions, including quotations, lighting calculations and layout drawings.
• Design lighting solutions that meet required illumination levels and visual effects.
• Prepare professional product presentations for designers and clients.
• Provide technical support and communicate with designers, partners and customers through meetings and consultations.
• Maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in construction, electrical or lighting industry (recent graduates are also welcome).
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
• Experience with DIALux evo and Relux (advantageous).
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics AX and Salesforce (plus).
• Knowledge of 3DS Max, Sketchup and Revit (advantageous).
• Understanding of lighting control and ELV systems, including DALI, 0‑10 V, phase‑cut dimming and Casambi.
