Technical Authority Expert

About the role

Ericsson is looking for a Technical Authority Expert to lead technical operations and provide advanced Unix/Linux system support for customer sites. You will coordinate offshore teams, ensure service level agreements are met, and drive automation across Solaris, Linux and cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical coordination on customer sites and oversee offshore teams to maintain system performance.
• Provide advanced support for Solaris, HP‑UX, Red Hat Linux, high‑availability clusters and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Participate in customer projects involving Red Hat, Oracle, Dell, HP and other enterprise technologies.
• Advise on system integration, architecture and documentation; support customer presentations.
• Manage technical requests independently, deliver progress updates and handle critical incidents.
• Develop and implement automation using Ansible and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools.
• Maintain system configurations, plan changes and follow ITIL best practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, NFV, SDN or cloud environments.
• Hands‑on expertise with Solaris 10/11, recovery procedures and SPARC/Oracle hardware.
• Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 6‑9), HP‑UX and clustering solutions.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently with customers and manage technical requests.
• Experience with ITIL processes and incident management.
