Technical Contracts Manager – Engines

About the role

The Technical Contracts Manager (Engines) will lead technical sourcing, contracting and vendor management for Etihad Airways Technical. The role covers all technical procurement and maintenance contracts, including engines and APUs, ensuring processes are fit‑for‑purpose and compliant with governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, contracting and vendor management for high‑value OPEX and CAPEX contracts (e.g., Boeing, Airbus, GE, Rolls‑Royce).
• Develop sourcing strategies, execute RFPs and manage multi‑product sourcing activities.
• Negotiate contractual terms, resolve disputes and align outcomes with Legal, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
• Maintain vendor footprint, contract summaries and supplier risk management processes.
• Drive vendor performance management through reviews, dashboards and SLA monitoring.
• Implement and improve contract administration processes, leveraging digital tools.
• Lead projects and initiatives as directed by line manager or Head of Department.
• Coach and mentor department staff on contract and sourcing management.
• Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations and CAMO requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in airline or aviation technical procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Engineering or maintenance experience with engines and component contracts.
• Proven vendor and contract management experience throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Strong commercial focus with excellent written and oral communication.
• Demonstrated stakeholder and project management capabilities.
