Technical Engineer – Fire Door

About the role

We are looking for a commercially aware and technically proficient Technical Engineer – Fire Door to join our team in Dubai. You will provide expert technical support and sales assistance for fire door systems, ensuring compliant solutions for clients and contributing to business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for enquiries, advising on fire door types, frame systems, ironmongery and installation methods to meet fire performance and regulatory standards.
• Support sales and estimating teams with pre‑sales activities such as site surveys, technical clarifications, client meetings, product demonstrations and proposal preparation.
• Prepare technical documentation, door schedules, specification notes and installation guidance to enable accurate quotations and successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with estimation, design, fabrication and installation teams to review drawings, verify buildability and ensure cost‑effective, programme‑aware solutions.
• Develop and present commercial and technical solutions, including value‑engineering options, to improve win rates and margins.
• Maintain records of technical decisions, site surveys and client requirements in the CRM and project management systems.
• Identify technical risks early, analyse root causes and coordinate pragmatic solutions to protect schedule, cost and compliance.
• Conduct site visits during installation and handover to verify workmanship, resolve queries and certify compliance with specifications and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification in building services, fire protection, construction or engineering (desirable).
• 2–5 years’ experience with fire door systems, passive fire protection or building fabric, with demonstrable technical input to projects or quotations.
• Proven pre‑sales and selling skills, including preparation of client proposals and presentation of technical/commercial solutions.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused, problem‑solving approach.
