Technical Leader - Nuclear Research

About the role

EPRI is seeking a Technical Leader to drive independent research and technical assessments in nuclear engineering and emerging energy technologies. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will support nuclear power plant performance, new nuclear deployment, and decarbonisation initiatives for our member organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical activities with minimal supervision, conducting searches and analyses to support project teams.
• Apply expertise in nuclear engineering, infrastructure development, advanced reactors, and autonomous operations across the plant lifecycle.
• Perform technical and economic assessments for nuclear infrastructure, energy transition, and strategic planning studies.
• Collaborate with utilities, regulators, research institutions, vendors, and international organisations.
• Assist EPRI sales staff, communicate results through reports, webinars, workshops, and conferences.
• Plan and execute complex research projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work independently and lead technical problem‑solving in complex, low‑precedent environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience delivering high‑quality technical products to customers and external stakeholders.
