Technical Office Engineer

About the role

The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience with strong technical knowledge and practical experience in structural strengthening, concrete repair, and waterproofing works.

Key responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawings for structural strengthening, concrete repair, waterproofing, and related specialist works.
• Prepare technical submittals, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.
• Carry out quantity take‑offs and cost estimations for materials, manpower, equipment, and subcontracted works.
• Prepare and support technical and commercial evaluations for variations and additional works.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, procurement, and other project stakeholders.
• Follow up on consultant approvals for drawings, materials, method statements, and other submissions.
• Provide technical support to site teams during project execution.
• Ensure all drawings and submissions comply with project specifications, authority requirements, and applicable standards.
• Maintain proper technical records and assist in resolving technical issues arising during execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in technical office engineering.
• Previous experience in structural strengthening and concrete repair is highly preferred.
• Experience with CFRP strengthening, concrete jacketing, crack repair, waterproofing, and rehabilitation works is an advantage.
• Strong experience in estimation, quantity take‑off, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and approval procedures.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• UAE construction experience is preferred.
