Technical Operations Engineer – Advanced Capabilities (WRSA)

About the role

Anduril Industries is building a new simulation centre in Abu Dhabi to deliver immersive wargaming and augmented‑reality training for regional defence partners. The Technical Operations Engineer (TOPS) will join the Air Maneuver Dominance / Advanced Capabilities team to install, configure and operate hardware‑software solutions for these missions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the customer‑facing lead for the Emirati Ministry of Defence, planning, setting up and testing AR/VR equipment and simulation software for wargaming exercises.
• Deploy, troubleshoot and maintain Anduril’s immersive AR/VR, gaming engine and mission‑simulation platforms during demonstrations, exercises and field operations.
• Coordinate with software, hardware, logistics and engineering teams to streamline delivery, capture user feedback and conduct After‑Action Reviews.
• Provide technical support for headsets, laptops, networking and audiovisual gear, and work with platform providers to resolve issues before, during and after missions.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex technical solutions to diverse clients while maintaining high‑quality customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively across internal teams and external stakeholders, including military customers.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a country background check and security clearance.
• Readiness to travel and work from the UAE while collaborating with teams in the UK and USA.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AR/VR technologies, virtual servers, audio/visual equipment and desktop software.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence, Jira, Slack, Quip, MS Office and Zoom.
• Understanding of military operations, tactics and related technology (unmanned systems, communications, electronic warfare).
• Software‑engineering mindset for troubleshooting and integrating hardware‑software products.
