Technical Product Owner – Data Science & AI Platform

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Technical Product Owner to lead the Data Science & AI Platform within the Analytics Centre of Excellence. The role serves as the primary interface between business stakeholders and multiple engineering teams, guiding product development from concept through operation.

Key responsibilities

• Own data and information products, ensuring alignment with enterprise data and analytics guidelines and architecture.
• Maintain business metadata documentation, including information matrices, entity definitions, relationships, KPI documentation, data dictionaries and user guides.
• Define story content, acceptance criteria and sign‑off for backlog items, preparing them for Program Increment (PI) planning.
• Capture, refine and prioritize technical debt, non‑functional requirements, BAU, ceremonies and spikes across sprints.
• Contribute to PI demos, product management meetings and PI planning sessions.
• Define and track metrics to measure success and performance of delivered work.
• Identify risks and dependencies and feed them back to the product portfolio backlog.

Required profile

• Experience working as a Product Owner or similar role within data‑driven or analytics environments.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data and analytics architecture and governance.
• Ability to collaborate with business partners and engineering teams to translate needs into actionable backlog items.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
