Technical Superintendent

About the role

Boskalis is seeking a Technical Superintendent to join its Abu Dhabi office, supporting the Middle East technical team. The role focuses on forecasting, planning, and overseeing vessel repair and maintenance projects to ensure safe, cost‑effective, and environmentally sound operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare rolling forecasts for vessel repairs and ensure work orders are up to date.
• Lead the engineering, scoping, and development of work packages for planned and unplanned maintenance, modifications, and dry‑dockings.
• Conduct vessel inspections and technical assessments to identify repair needs and verify compliance with statutory, class, and company requirements.
• Develop tender‑ready work packages, including scope definitions, repair methodologies, material requirements, risk assessments, cost estimates, and schedule inputs.
• Coordinate project preparation activities and support execution during complex repair projects as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marine vessel maintenance and technical supervision.
• Strong ability to work independently, plan effectively, and maintain attention to detail while keeping the broader project picture in mind.
• Excellent understanding of statutory, class, and company regulations governing vessel operations.
