Technician, Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for day‑to‑day maintenance of rotating and static mechanical equipment within the assigned area. The role involves executing preventive, corrective, breakdown and predictive tasks while ensuring safety and compliance with company HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive work orders, review equipment history and arrange required consumables, spares and tools.
• Obtain necessary work permits and certificates in line with HSE regulations.
• Perform preventive, corrective, breakdown and predictive maintenance activities safely and efficiently.
• Inspect equipment, determine repair scope and prepare inspection, failure and overhaul reports.
• Monitor condition of rotating equipment visually or using appropriate monitoring devices.
• Troubleshoot faults and collaborate with Mechanical Engineers for root‑cause analysis.
• Carry out new installations, modifications and testing as directed by engineers.
• Participate in major overhauls and shutdowns, identifying required spares and special tools.
• Update maintenance records in MAXIMO and maintain related documentation.
• Provide on‑the‑job training to support UAE nationalization initiatives.
• Maintain tools and safety gear in good working condition.

Required profile

• Experience with mechanical rotating and static equipment maintenance.
• Ability to follow HSE procedures and obtain required permits.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems, particularly MAXIMO.
• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and datasheets.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding skills.
