Telecom Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Telecom Maintenance Technician will ensure the health, reliability and integrity of all telecom equipment and systems. Working under the direction of the Telecom Engineer, you will perform routine, preventive and corrective maintenance in line with established SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out health checks, routine and preventive maintenance on broadband, broadcast, network, telephony and CCTV systems.
• Respond promptly to work requests and work orders, documenting actions taken.
• Plan and manage all maintenance activities, including troubleshooting equipment failures and conducting root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate resolutions with the Telecom Engineer and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare budgets, progress reports and manage material inventories using SAP ERP.
• Perform risk assessments, HSE management and change management activities.

Required profile

• UAE national with a technical diploma or secondary school certificate plus a vocational trade certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Telecom Technician, preferably in oil‑and‑gas environments.
• Proven ability to manage telecom maintenance activities and lead troubleshooting efforts.

Required skills

• Broadband system operation and maintenance (SDH, DWDM).
• Broadcast system operation and maintenance (PAGA).
• Network, telephony and CCTV system maintenance.
• SAP ERP experience.
• Root Cause Analysis and risk assessment.
