Telecom Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Telecom Maintenance Technician is responsible for day‑to‑day maintenance, corrective and breakdown activities on all telecom equipment within the assigned field area. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance and supports network performance for ADNOC’s extensive telecom infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, repair and testing of telecom equipment following SOPs and HSE regulations.
• Respond promptly to work orders issued by the Telecom Engineer and obtain required permits.
• Conduct inspections of telecom installations to verify serviceability and calibration of test equipment.
• Monitor network performance via Network Management Systems (NMS) and report failures for rapid troubleshooting.
• Execute modifications and install new equipment according to approved plans, supervising external contractors as needed.
• Collaborate with instrumentation technicians, external agencies (e.g., Etisalat) and other discipline maintenance personnel for integrated troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Minimum 48 months (4 years) of experience in telecom maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to work safely on site, obtain work permits and follow ADNOC HSE procedures.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capability to work under the direction of a Telecom Engineer.
