Trainee Air Traffic Controller (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

You will join Dubai Air Navigation Services as a trainee to become a qualified Air Traffic Control Officer. The programme provides comprehensive training, familiarisation with air navigation procedures, and the assessments required for certification.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in structured classroom and on‑the‑job training modules.
• Learn air traffic control techniques, communication protocols, and safety procedures.
• Complete all required examinations and performance assessments.
• Maintain compliance with GCAA medical and regulatory standards throughout the programme.

Required profile

• Age between 19 and 27 at the start of training.
• UAE national holding a valid family book (Khalasat Al Qaid).
• Minimum high school certificate with English, Mathematics and preferably Physics.
• Proficient English – IELTS 5.5+ or EmSAT‑English 1250+.
• Medical fitness to pass a GCAA Level 3 examination.
• Male candidates must have completed national service and provide a military exemption letter.
