Transformation Portfolio Lead

About the role

The Transformation Portfolio Lead will own the management, business analysis and oversight of the service transformation portfolio across Retail and Business Banking, Wholesale Banking and the contact centre. The role drives a transformation mindset, ensuring initiatives align with the bank’s strategic direction and are delivered on time and within scope.

Key responsibilities

• Shape the change agenda for Wholesale Banking, Treasury, Asset Management and Global Markets in partnership with Group Heads.
• Manage a portfolio of multiple projects, handling inter‑dependencies, resourcing and priority changes.
• Maintain effective relationships with senior business unit stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring clear portfolio communication.
• Identify resourcing needs, facilitate Executive Steering Committees and keep strategic changes on track.
• Ensure accuracy of project charters, business requirement documents and project reviews.
• Consult on business cases and UAT strategies, advising senior leadership.
• Oversee translation of business analysis into practical implementation and manage senior stakeholder conflicts.
• Design adoption strategies such as training and communications, and provide coaching to enhance project and change management effectiveness.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in portfolio and change management within banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to work with senior executives and influence strategic decisions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, especially Central Bank of UAE guidelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and governance skills.
