Urban Designer – Master Planning & Development

About the role

The Urban Designer will support senior team members on master‑planning, urban development and governance projects across KEO’s markets. Working under the direction of a Senior Associate or Associate Level Urban Designer, you will contribute to concept, preliminary and detailed design stages while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing conceptual, preliminary and detailed urban designs, site layouts and supporting materials such as reports, maps and drawings.
• Help develop development control regulations, urban design guidelines and related planning standards.
• Produce urban designs that comply with existing regulatory requirements and guidelines.
• Coordinate with other disciplines involved in master‑planning and urban development projects.
• Support the preparation and presentation of plans and reports to clients and regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Design or a related field (essential); Master’s degree highly regarded.
• Minimum of 4 + years of relevant experience, ranging from recent graduates to mid‑career professionals.
• Professional certification and experience within the MENA region are advantageous.
