Urban Planner – Mid to Senior Level (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a creative and analytical Urban Planner to support the development of sustainable communities across the United Arab Emirates. The role involves shaping master plans, coordinating infrastructure, and guiding land‑use decisions for a variety of urban projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support urban planning strategies, master plans, and development proposals.
• Analyze land use, population growth, transportation, and infrastructure trends.
• Prepare planning studies, feasibility assessments, reports, maps, and presentations.
• Review development proposals against planning policies, regulations, and design standards.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, developers, government authorities, and consultants.
• Conduct site visits, evaluate existing conditions, and identify development opportunities.
• Use GIS and planning data to produce evidence‑based recommendations.
• Monitor project milestones, approvals, and required documentation.
• Present planning concepts to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Urban Planning, City Planning, Regional Planning, Architecture, Geography, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of relevant urban planning or development experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of land‑use planning, zoning, master planning, and sustainable development principles.
• Excellent analytical, research, and report‑writing abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
