Validation Driver – Autonomous Vehicle Pilot (Dubai)

About the role

As a Validation Driver you will act as the certified human safety operator on Moove’s autonomous vehicles during the pilot phase in Dubai. While the vehicle drives itself, you are responsible for monitoring the system, communicating with the Remote Operations Centre, and taking manual control whenever safety requires.

Key responsibilities

• Occupy the driver seat for all autonomous vehicle operations, maintaining continuous situational awareness.
• Monitor AV system behavior, sensor alerts and onboard displays throughout each shift.
• Take immediate manual control when the system requests intervention or a safety risk is identified.
• Communicate real‑time status updates in English with the Remote Operations Centre using onboard tools.
• Follow all pre‑trip, in‑trip and post‑trip safety checklists without exception.
• Complete defined validation routes in Dubai as directed by the Validation Trainer and engineering team.
• Log all events, interventions, anomalies and environmental observations accurately using digital logging tools.
• Record takeover events with precise details (trigger, location, speed, context, outcome) and document road conditions or signage anomalies.
• Submit complete shift logs and incident reports before the end of each shift.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure and able to make quick, safe decisions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation.
• Comfortable using digital tools and onboard software systems.
• Certified human safety operator for autonomous vehicles (or equivalent qualification).
