About the role
We are seeking a VAT Manager to lead the VAT function for our Dubai operations. The role will be pivotal in preparing the organization for the upcoming VAT implementation and ensuring ongoing compliance across multiple business sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Report to the Head of Tax/Tax Director.
- Serve as the sole VAT professional covering real estate, hospitality, entertainment, and leisure sectors.
- Assist with the forthcoming VAT implementation from both project‑management and technical perspectives.
- Coordinate with all relevant entities to ensure actions are taken to become VAT ready.
- Act as the main point of contact with external advisors on VAT matters.
- Provide assistance such as reviewing contracts and liaising with customers and suppliers during implementation.
- Assume responsibility for VAT reporting and compliance.
- Manage day‑to‑day VAT affairs.
- Serve as the primary internal contact for VAT queries.
