Vice President - Broker Relationship (Retail)

About the role

The Vice President – Broker Relationship (Retail) is responsible for developing, managing, and strengthening strategic relationships with key insurance brokers across the UAE. The role will drive profitable growth across the retail insurance portfolio, including Motor, Travel, Home, Medical Malpractice, Personal Accident, and other consumer insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with leading insurance brokers across the UAE, acting as primary point of contact and ensuring high engagement and satisfaction.
• Drive sustainable growth across retail insurance products (Motor, Travel, Home, Medical Malpractice, Personal Accident) by implementing broker growth strategies and building a strong sales pipeline.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Broker Relationship team, set performance targets and foster a high‑performance culture focused on customer service and collaboration.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Customer Service to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve broker and customer queries.
• Analyze broker performance and portfolio profitability, prepare reports and strategic recommendations for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and governance standards, maintaining accurate broker documentation and KYC records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, Marketing or related discipline; professional insurance qualifications (ACII, Cert CII, Dip CII) are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the UAE insurance market, including at least 2 years managing relationships with multiple insurance brokers and 2 years leading teams, with a proven track record of business growth through broker channels.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation and influencing abilities, combined with commercial acumen and analytical reporting skills.
