Vice Principal

About the role

GEMS Al Barsha National School is seeking an ambitious Vice Principal to work closely with the Principal/CEO in driving the school’s vision, strategic direction and high standards of teaching, learning and student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the vision, core values, mission and policies of the school.
• Play an active role in school strategic planning and self‑review processes.
• Lead, develop and manage teaching and learning, the whole‑school curriculum, target‑setting, assessment, tracking, recording and reporting as the teaching and learning and assessment coordinator.
• Take a significant lead in curriculum development across primary and secondary phases in collaboration with senior and middle leaders and teaching staff.
• Ensure the highest standards of student achievement and pastoral care.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years (120 months) of experience in education leadership.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE Inspection Framework, KHDA and DSIB regulations.
• Familiarity with the British curriculum and its integration with Arabic language and culture.
• Excellent problem‑solving, interpersonal, organisational and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated strategic and operational leadership capabilities.
