Visiting Faculty – Electrical Engineering (2027)

About the role

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the American University of Sharjah seeks a Visiting Faculty member to join the college in Fall 2027. This one‑year renewable appointment focuses on delivering high‑quality undergraduate and graduate teaching in electrical engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering.
• Develop and update course materials, labs, and assessments.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and student advising.
• Contribute to the department’s research and scholarly activities as appropriate.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Experience with the American model of higher education is highly desirable.
• Excellence in teaching and a record of scholarly research.
