VP and Head of Audit – Information Security

About the role

The Vice President and Head of Audit – Information Security will lead the audit function for the Group Security Office, Business Continuity Management, Data domains and Group Technology across FAB’s domestic and international operations. This senior position provides assurance to senior management by identifying control weaknesses, reporting findings and driving remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report audits covering Information Security, BCM, Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Analytics & AI, and System Integration projects.
• Ensure audit work aligns with the Annual Audit Plan and is completed on schedule.
• Act as the primary liaison with GSO, GT and Data function leaders, offering advice and influencing change.
• Provide guidance, on‑the‑job training and knowledge sharing to junior audit staff.
• Participate in the GIA Extended Management Team, contributing to group‑wide risk and control discussions.
• Conduct special investigations and ad‑hoc reviews as directed by senior executives.

Required profile

• Subject‑matter expert with deep understanding of Information Security, Business Continuity, Data Management and Technology integration.
• Extensive experience auditing complex, multi‑jurisdictional environments, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in the UAE and other relevant jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to lead senior‑level audit engagements and manage cross‑functional teams.
