VP & Senior Audit Manager, Enterprise Risk Management

About the role

Participate in and lead risk‑based audits covering the activities and processes of Risk and Global Markets across the FAB Group. Provide assurance to senior management by identifying weaknesses, reporting findings promptly, and agreeing on corrective action plans.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the risk universe for internal audit and contribute to the Board Audit Committee approval.
• Define audit scopes, objectives and terms of reference for Group Risk Department audits.
• Evaluate controls safeguarding the bank’s assets and ensure compliance with internal audit guidance and fraud risk policies.
• Guide and mentor junior colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and team efficiency.
• Conduct audits of ERM processes, assess governance, risk management and control effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
• Maintain audit programs in the central audit management tool and prepare timely audit reports and management action plans.

Required profile

• Associate Chartered Accountant qualification.
• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience in internal audit, market risk, treasury, trading or related control functions within a large regional or international bank.
• Strong understanding of Treasury, Trading & Global Markets business and related risk frameworks (CAR, ICAAP).
• Professional English report‑writing skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff, preferably UAE nationals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIA audit tools.
• Experience using a central audit management system for program maintenance.
