Welder

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team on oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for welding metal components and structures using a variety of techniques while ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform welding on metal components and structures using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding methods.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy, ensuring they meet industry standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding procedures.
• Prepare materials and surfaces by cleaning, cutting, and fitting components.
• Operate and maintain welding equipment, including machines, torches, and protective gear.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE to maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct routine checks and tests on welds to verify quality.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to resolve welding‑related issues and complete projects efficiently.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in welding is preferred.
• Proven experience as a welder in the oil and gas industry, preferably on large‑scale projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of welding safety practices and use of PPE.
• Relevant welding certifications such as AWS or ASME are preferred.
