3D Graphic Designer - Technical Drawing

About the role

Strategic Exhibitions & Conferences is looking for a creative and technically skilled 3D Graphic Designer in Dubai to design exhibition stands, event spaces, booths and promotional structures. The role combines strong 3D visualization with a solid understanding of technical drawings, fabrication, materials, dimensions and construction requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D designs and visualizations for exhibition stands, booths, conferences and event spaces.
• Develop concepts based on client requirements, event themes, brand guidelines and available space.
• Prepare 3D renders, layouts, floor plans, elevations and technical drawings.
• Convert creative concepts into fabrication-ready designs, accurate in measurements, scale and specifications.
• Prepare detailed drawings for carpentry, fabrication, branding, electrical, lighting, furniture and other elements when needed.
• Coordinate with production, fabrication, carpentry and project teams, and review venue requirements against site and exhibition guidelines.
• Make revisions based on feedback from clients, management and the production team.
• Visit sites when required to take measurements, and present design proposals to clients and management.
• Maintain documentation and updated design files, and manage several projects to tight exhibition deadlines.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, 3D Design, Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in exhibitions, events, interior design or fabrication.
• Portfolio of previous 3D exhibition/event designs required.
• Preferred: experience designing exhibition stands, event setups, custom booths, stage and backdrop designs, branding structures, retail displays and temporary event structures.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• 3ds Max, SketchUp, V-Ray / Corona, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
• Lumion / Enscape or similar rendering software
• Technical drawing and drafting, including floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings and coordinate with production and fabrication teams
