Academic Director / Educational Director – Dubai

About the role

Universal Way Academy in Dubai South is seeking an Educational Director to shape the school’s academic vision, drive curriculum excellence and lead a growing team of educators.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously refine the school’s academic strategy across all grade levels.
• Oversee curriculum development, ensuring alignment with promises made to families and UAE/International standards.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate teaching staff through observations, professional‑development planning and constructive feedback.
• Manage accreditation and compliance with UAE educational regulations and relevant international frameworks.
• Collaborate with school leadership on budgeting, staffing and resource allocation for academic departments.
• Build strong relationships with parents and the wider Dubai South community.
• Provide decisive leadership during staffing gaps, curriculum concerns or student issues.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration or a related field.
• Significant hands‑on experience in educational leadership with a proven record of improving academic outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of curriculum design, assessment practices and teacher‑evaluation methods.
• Excellent English communication skills, capable of inspiring educators and reassuring parents.
• Experience in the UAE or Gulf education sector (preferred).
• Familiarity with international accreditation bodies (preferred).
