Account Opening Officer

About the role

We are looking for an Account Opening Officer to join our Dubai operations. The role ensures efficient processing of new account requests across various business lines while maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process account opening requests for WBG, IBG, and internal accounts (Map, STI, STS, STO, Vostro) in accordance with approved procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and CRM workflow for UAE and international accounts, including submissions to CCU.
• Perform end‑to‑end account creation using AMBIT, CRM, Mosaic and Phoenix systems.
• Conduct KYC/EDD checks, especially for high‑risk jurisdictions, and ensure compliance with ADIB policies.
• Coordinate with service teams, send reminders, and resolve discrepancies or missing documents.
• Update MIS dashboards and generate regular reports on account opening metrics.
• Handle account opening cases received from ADIB Iraq and ADIB UK, including reconciliation and issue resolution.
• Participate in training programs to continuously improve knowledge and performance.

Required profile

• Experience in banking account opening or related operations.
• Strong understanding of KYC, EDD and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work accurately under defined time standards and follow operational procedures.
• Good communication skills to advise business units and follow up with internal teams.
