Accountant – Building Materials Shop

About the role

A building materials shop in Al Ain is looking for a dedicated Accountant to manage daily financial activities and keep accurate business records. The position centres on bookkeeping, processing invoices and payments, handling stock‑related transactions, and supporting VAT compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain precise bookkeeping records and record all financial transactions.
• Process supplier and customer invoices, manage payments, and reconcile accounts regularly.
• Monitor stock levels, update inventory records and ensure their accuracy.
• Assist in preparing VAT documentation and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and support day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Required profile

• Previous accounting experience is mandatory.
• Experience in the building materials sector is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, invoice handling, payment processing and stock record management.
• Basic understanding of VAT procedures and related compliance.
• Good computer proficiency and effective communication skills.
• Current residency in the UAE is required.
