Accountant – Car Rental

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant with experience in the car rental sector to join our Dubai team. The role involves handling daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance manager and branch manager.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, process sales invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and journal entries.
• Handle customer rental invoices, deposits, refunds, and monitor overdue accounts.
• Record supplier invoices, expenses and perform daily cash and bank reconciliations.
• Verify rental agreements, extensions, additional charges and reconcile rental income, security deposits and vehicle‑related expenses.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly accounting reports, assist with VAT calculations and support audit documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a UAE car rental company.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational abilities with good English communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks accurately.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Familiarity with car rental management systems.
