Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

Chef Middle East is seeking an enthusiastic Accountant to join its Finance team. The role supports daily finance activities, ensures accurate financial reporting, and contributes to the efficient management of accounting functions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process overseas payments and communicate with overseas suppliers.
• Assist with timely monthly close, including intercompany, general journal, margin entries, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support external audit requests and provide assistance to junior accountants.
• Administer inventory bookings, rebates, supplier claims, and monthly Cost of Goods Sold reconciliation.
• Verify, post, and pay ENOC/ADNOC billings and handle supplier purchase returns and claims.
• Reconcile overseas supplier accounts and review local payments as first checker.
• Manage vendor rebates, prepare weekly cash‑flow forecasts, and support LTR banking limits and requests.
• Apply Letters of Credit, insurance amendments, and document collections as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar accounting role, including handling overseas payments.
• Fluency in the Microsoft Office suite.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 (advantageous).
