Accountant – Full‑time, On‑site in Al Ain

About the role

We are a well‑established cake and dessert shop in Al Ain looking for a full‑time Accountant to join our on‑site team. You will manage day‑to‑day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support cash‑flow management in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and reconcile bank and account statements.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, verify invoices, and monitor payments.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual closings, budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external auditors and vendors to resolve discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or ACCA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a service or retail environment.
• Strong foundation in general ledger management, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and maintain detailed records.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting.
