Accountant – Immediate Start, UAE (Car Rental)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our finance team immediately. The role focuses on processing accounting transactions, maintaining audit‑ready records, and supporting month‑end close in a fast‑paced, transaction‑heavy environment within the car‑rental industry.

Key responsibilities

• Record and post accounting transactions after thorough review, coding and verification of supporting documents.
• Maintain complete supporting documentation and ensure a clear audit trail for all journal entries.
• Book vendor invoices, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and process cheques, including printing, posting in Microsoft Dynamics and creating temporary vouchers.
• Safeguard and organise hard‑copy accounting vouchers in line with company procedures.
• Assist in filing, ensuring an orderly and retrievable document structure.
• Provide supporting documents during internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Support the finance team during month‑end closing and other peak periods.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 5‑6 years of relevant accounting experience, including 1‑2 years in the UAE.
• Previous experience in the car‑rental industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting vouchers, documentation flow and internal controls.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
