Accountant

About the role

La Marzocco is looking for an Accountant to join its small and energetic team in Dubai. The role covers posting business transactions in financial accounting, closing entries and the preparation of financial statements, and is available immediately with an initial 6-month probation period.

Key responsibilities

• Post all business transactions in financial accounting
• Create and run payment runs
• Carry out closing entries, accruals and provisions
• Take part in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Submit the monthly advance VAT return and statistical reports (ZM, Z4, etc.)
• Reconcile accounts, collaborate on special projects and help with cash flow planning

Required profile

• Completed training in a commercial profession, with further training as an accountant or tax specialist
• Several years of professional accounting experience
• Analytical and independent way of working, able to work in a team, under pressure and with new tasks
• Very good knowledge of Thai and good written and spoken English

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of accounting under TFRS and IFRS
• Good MS Office skills, especially very good Excel
• SAP knowledge required
