Accountant

About the role

An experienced and detail-oriented Accountant is sought to join a team in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. The position covers invoicing, inventory, bank reconciliation, VAT filing and accounts payable and receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sales and purchase invoices, and prepare and process delivery notes
• Handle shipment-related documentation and accounting work
• Maintain and monitor inventory records
• Record and reconcile daily accounting transactions and perform bank reconciliation
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and file VAT
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Coordinate with sales, purchase, warehouse and logistics teams
• Assist with monthly closing and other accounting activities

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Previous experience in trading company accounting preferred
• Good knowledge of VAT, inventory, invoicing and shipment documentation
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication and organisational skills

• Proficiency in accounting software
