Accountant

About the role

Hired on behalf of a client, the Accountant supports financial operations, bookkeeping, reporting and compliance in Dubai. The role keeps financial records accurate and ensures transactions are properly recorded and audit-ready.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Accounts Manager with daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and data entry
• Record and post daily financial transactions accurately
• Maintain supplier, customer and general ledgers and reconcile accounts
• Support monthly financial reporting and ledger entries
• Keep electronic and physical financial records and filing systems up to date
• Help resolve accounting discrepancies and administrative queries
• Ensure accurate data entry into Zoho Books
• Support VAT and Corporate Tax processes, including registration and compliance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Experience in VAT registration, filing and deregistration; Corporate Tax support experience is an advantage
• Audit-ready documentation experience preferred
• High accuracy and attention to detail

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Zoho Books and Zoho CRM
• Strong English communication skills
