Accountant – UAE Manufacturing (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join Jebel Ali Cement Factory P.S.C. in Dubai. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations and supporting the monthly reporting cycle in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, post journal entries and execute month‑end and year‑end close procedures.
• Reconcile bank accounts, receivables, payables and inter‑company balances; manage the fixed‑asset register and depreciation.
• Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns, maintain VAT records and support corporate tax computations in line with UAE law.
• Process supplier invoices, run payments, monitor customer receivables and produce ageing reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and variance analysis.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors, providing required schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Hands‑on experience with UAE VAT returns and familiarity with the UAE Corporate Tax Law.
• Strong analytical abilities and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP accounting software (experience with Tally, SAP or Oracle is a plus).
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
