Accounting & Compliance Officer

About the role

The Accounting & Compliance Officer will serve as the primary liaison for all accounting department activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the single point of contact for any accounts department function.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, maintain schedules, create accruals, and review sales order costing.
• Process WPS payroll promptly.
• Prepare and file VAT returns on time, ensuring all supporting AR and AP documents comply with UAE VAT laws.
• Prepare cash flow statements and manage expense claims, disbursements, and supplier payments.
• Liaise with auditors during the annual audit process and finalization.

Required profile

• ACCA or Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance/accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Strong commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel spreadsheet proficiency.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
