Accounting Manager – Sharia‑Compliant Digital Banking

About the role

Senna is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations within a Sharia‑compliant digital banking business. The role will establish robust accounting processes, ensure compliance with IFRS and Sharia principles, and build the foundational infrastructure for a fast‑growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies that align with Sharia principles and IFRS standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and ensure timely internal and external reporting.
• Coordinate regulatory filings, audits, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and technology teams to support new product launches and process improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and expand a high‑performing accounting team.
• Identify financial risks, maintain internal controls, and drive automation of accounting workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing accounting functions in a regulated financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with Sharia‑compliant finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement accounting processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
• Experience in high‑growth or startup settings is preferred.
