About the role
The AMI Field Supervisor leads and manages field operations for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployments across the United Arab Emirates. It calls for a hands-on technical and managerial professional with 7-9 years of proven experience in AMI systems, power capping and scrap meter processes, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and efficiency while coordinating field crews and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate AMI field service teams during installation, maintenance and troubleshooting across the UAE
- Ensure compliance with technical standards and company procedures for power capping and scrap meter operations
- Plan and schedule daily crew assignments, monitor progress and allocate resources
- Carry out on-site inspections to check quality of work, safety protocol adherence and correct implementation of AMI systems
- Liaise with project managers, engineers and clients to report progress, resolve issues and optimise field operations
- Maintain accurate records of field activities, equipment status and inventory of scrap meters and spare parts
- Provide technical guidance and training to field technicians on AMI technologies, power capping and scrap meter procedures
- Identify operational risks, propose corrective actions and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Required profile
- 7-9 years of experience in AMI field operations or related utility services
- Proven expertise in AMI systems implementation and maintenance
- Experience supervising and coordinating field operations teams
- Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel within the UAE
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; experience with utility providers in the UAE or GCC; proficiency in Arabic and English
Required skills
- Strong technical knowledge of power capping and scrap meter processes
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in field operations
- Preferred: HSE standards knowledge and first aid certification
