AMI Field Supervisor

About the role

The AMI Field Supervisor leads and manages field operations for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) deployments across the United Arab Emirates. It calls for a hands-on technical and managerial professional with 7-9 years of proven experience in AMI systems, power capping and scrap meter processes, ensuring high standards of safety, quality and efficiency while coordinating field crews and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate AMI field service teams during installation, maintenance and troubleshooting across the UAE
• Ensure compliance with technical standards and company procedures for power capping and scrap meter operations
• Plan and schedule daily crew assignments, monitor progress and allocate resources
• Carry out on-site inspections to check quality of work, safety protocol adherence and correct implementation of AMI systems
• Liaise with project managers, engineers and clients to report progress, resolve issues and optimise field operations
• Maintain accurate records of field activities, equipment status and inventory of scrap meters and spare parts
• Provide technical guidance and training to field technicians on AMI technologies, power capping and scrap meter procedures
• Identify operational risks, propose corrective actions and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• 7-9 years of experience in AMI field operations or related utility services
• Proven expertise in AMI systems implementation and maintenance
• Experience supervising and coordinating field operations teams
• Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel within the UAE
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; experience with utility providers in the UAE or GCC; proficiency in Arabic and English

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of power capping and scrap meter processes
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in field operations
• Preferred: HSE standards knowledge and first aid certification
