Applied AI/ML Scientist

About the role

Cerebras Systems is seeking an Applied AI/ML Scientist to develop, train, fine‑tune, and optimise large language and deep‑learning models for customer‑specific tasks in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves designing agent‑based models and scaling them on specialised Cerebras hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Determine customer AI needs and select appropriate technology, architecture, milestones, and evaluation measures.
• Create customised language and deep‑learning models through training, fine‑tuning, and post‑training techniques.
• Design data pipelines, optimise training processes, and analyse model convergence, loss dynamics and gradient stability.
• Scale multi‑billion‑parameter models on Cerebras clusters, improving hardware utilisation and training efficiency.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in computer science, machine learning or a related technical field.
• Expert understanding of transformers, Mixture‑of‑Experts, multimodal models, sequence architectures, scaling laws and training dynamics.
• Proven experience training or fine‑tuning large‑scale models with one billion or more parameters.
