Area Sales Manager - Mortgage

About the role

The Area Sales Manager – Mortgage will lead and grow the mortgage sales team across an assigned territory. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding broker networks, and ensuring a seamless customer experience while maintaining compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and motivate Sales Managers and Relationship Managers to exceed business targets.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive mortgage growth in the region.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback and identify training needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with brokers, channel partners, developers and other stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence through strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate with credit, operations and underwriting teams to ensure timely mortgage processing.
• Track market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to inform product and strategy enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk guidelines.
• Prepare forecasts, reports and performance analyses for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or related field.
• 8‑12 years of experience in mortgage, home loans or financial services sales.
• 2‑3 years of experience managing a sales team.
• Proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of mortgage products, lending processes and regulatory frameworks.
