Assistant Manager Aquarium Specialist

About the role

Provide and oversee healthy, sanitary living conditions, proper nutrition and constant care for all marine and freshwater animals at Atlantis The Royal. Lead the aquarium team in daily operations, guest education and conservation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage feeding schedules, water analysis, and daily maintenance of tanks and external facilities.
• Observe animal behavior, report abnormalities and maintain detailed records.
• Lead educational and research experiences for guests and the community.
• Oversee preventative maintenance of dive and exhibit equipment and ensure rapid reporting of malfunctions.

Required profile

• PADI Openwater Scuba Certification (Divemaster or higher desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Zoology, Marine Science or equivalent experience (5 years aquarium work, 1 year supervisory).
• Strong communication skills, able to mentor junior staff and interact with guests.

Required skills

• PADI Openwater Scuba Certification.
• PADI Divemaster certification (desired).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
