Assistant Manager – Corporate Tax

About the role

BDO UAE is seeking an Assistant Manager to deliver corporate tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse client base. You will work on UAE corporate tax matters, including the new Pillar 2 regime, and support business development initiatives while maintaining a solid understanding of UAE VAT.

Key responsibilities

• Provide corporate tax advisory services, including UAE Pillar 2 assignments.
• Manage corporate tax compliance engagements for clients.
• Support business development activities such as pursuit lists, follow‑ups, and presentation preparation.
• Coordinate on‑site and off‑site teams, track work progress, and oversee project closure procedures.
• Train and develop junior staff to ensure quality delivery of assignments.
• Maintain and grow client relationships through regular technical sessions and service reviews.

Required profile

• Minimum 4–5 years of post‑qualification experience in a consulting firm.
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, ADIT or equivalent) with a degree in accounting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• People‑management capability and ability to multitask across internal and external requests.

Required skills

• Advanced technical knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax law, including the Pillar 2 regime.
• Intermediate knowledge of transfer pricing concepts.
• Intermediate knowledge of CRS and CbCR requirements.
• Intermediate knowledge of UAE legal and regulatory requirements (licensing, free‑zone operations).
• Basic knowledge of UAE customs and VAT.
• Project management skills (work‑trackers, scheduling, status updates).
• Business development skills (pursuit management, presentation preparation).
